My name is Deborah Victa, or Deb as some of my closest friends and family call me. I was born and raised in the Philippines (Manila), but in 2014, hopped on a plane with my family to move to the United States and never looked back. As of this writing, I am currently based in Los Angeles. I am a full-time Christian, part-time singer, and an occasional blogger.

HISTORY
This blog is not what it used to be. When I started out on this platform, I called the blog Water for Camels, an outlet that was dedicated to the beauty of life, mixed in with a Christian perspective to each post. The blog title was loosely based on a passage found in Genesis 24 which had a lot to do with the saying, "good things come to those who wait" -- those were words I lived by and knew all too well -- was what I would have said in the past. But my conscience wouldn't let me have it. Lord knows the life I lived has been far from perfect. And so, I changed my approach to blogging.

TODAY
With that, I welcome you to the brand new blog called "For The Love Of Truth". I guess you could say it's not really new (since I've obviously kept the same URL and all my old posts intact). My blog is just going through a re-formation of sorts; going back to why I wanted to blog in the first place, which was to find Jesus in all my circumstances, all while trying to encourage and edify others by helping them find all they need in Him.
In here, I will be honest and vulnerable. This is my attempt at being as authentic as possible with my thoughts, my feelings, and most of all with the Word of God. As fun as it was writing about reviews, and hauls and other stuff, I've come to realize life is too brief to devote my time to these things. I've dabbled in vanities and empty allure for too long. And so in here, I hope instead to be able to zone in on things that do matter: properly dissecting and understanding Scripture, seeing current events and personal circumstances in light of God's sovereignty, wisdom, and promises; and perhaps even help others who happen to stumble upon my little corner of the world wide web do the same.
